On June 22, 1940, Francis Stair married Evelyn Rehberg at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. Reverend H.W. Saeger officiated.  Attendants were Viola Bethke, Joyce Bethke, and Virginia Stair. Best Man was Howard Stair. Homer Stair and Floyd Rehberg were ushers. Flower girl was Jean Bethke. Francis and Evelyn both worked in Milwaukee at the time.

Francis Alvin was born on April 12, 1913. Francis was George and Josephine's seventh child.
